The Manufacturing Engineering Society also promotes the development of academic actions of quality, addressed to students from engineering university degrees, calling biannually the Best Doctoral thesis award in the area of Manufacturing Engineering.
The award of the best doctoral thesis go to Dña Isabel Bagudanch Frigolé , for the thesis entitled “ Incremental sheet forming applied to the manufacturing of biocompatible polymer prostheses “, supervised by Ph.D. Maria Luisa Garcia-Romeu from the University of Girona and Ph. D. Gabriel Centeno Báez, from University of Sevilla.
The accesit award go to D. Octavio Pereira Neto, for the thesis entitled “ Reduction of the environmental impact of machining processes using a combination of MQL micropulverization and cryogenic refrigeration “, supervised by Mr. Joaquín Barreiro and Ms. Ana Isabel Fernández Abia, from the University of León.
